Toast Vs toast

The other night we opened a bottle of champagne to toast the arrival of Jake. After pouring the glasses, I set aside one with apple juice for Kailey. She was a little jealous of the attention Jake had been getting so I very cautiously asked if she could come join us. "For what?", she asked. "Kailey, we are toasting the arrival of baby brother", I said. After a few moments of silence, "I DON'T LIKE TOAST!" was yelled from the other room as she stomped away...... I will tell this story at Kailey's wedding.

Jake's feet at 5 days old compared to Kailey's feet at about 43 months. 

Kailey had very small feet and Jake can almost fit into the sandals that Kailey wore for her first birthday.

First Bath

WE ARE HOME!

Shelli, Kailey, Jake and I made the drive from San Antonio to Houston this morning.  The drive was without incident.  Here are a few pictures that Teresa took before we left her house. 

Our Newest Addition

Shelli, Kailey and I are thrilled to announce the arrival of our new baby boy.


Jake Michael Barrett was born on November 11th and weighed 7 lbs 11 oz.

Everyone is doing great.
