We made it back home from Disney World earlier today. While it will be a few days before I have all of my Disney pictures culled and ready to post, I wanted to go ahead and post one non-Disney picture.
This is a view of Friday's Space Shuttle Atlantis shuttle launch. It is not easy to see in this shot, but the solid rocket boosters were still burning a very bright orange. A few seconds after this was taken, the glow disappeared and the rocket continued upward. Shelli and I were at Disney World (specifically Hollywood Studios) when we saw this. According to Google Earth, we were standing just over 60 miles from the launch site. Also, the shuttle's launch paths are eastward over the Atlantic Ocean, I believe. Regardless, we were a very long way away but still had a really cool show.
