With February drawing to an end, it is really strange to think about all that has already happened during the first two months of the year. I quit my job and started a new one (more on that later). We traveled to Mississippi. Houston has continued to experience a very cold winter and a bit more snow. Kailey got new bedroom furniture. We spent a few days in Lake Charles where Shelli and Kailey got to experience some Mardi Gras. I had to travel to Orlando for a few days with the new company. I took a six week adult education Photography course. We went back to the House of Blues for a Gospel Brunch. We saw cirque de soleil in Houston at the Hobby Center. Then, finally, Kailey and I got a bird feeder set up in the back yard.Here is a picture of our Princess's new bed.
So, in closing, the new job is going well. I am trying to pick up the ethanol trading desk. That means that I will be buying and selling ethanol to be used in the blending of gasoline. While it is similar to what I had been doing for CITGO, it is also a lot different. A lot of ethanol is moved by rail and trucks....a concept that was completely foreign to me when I first came to Seacor. Like anything new, I am learning my way around and it is gradually becoming more familiar.
