I was off work today. Kailey and I went downtown to the JP Morgan Chase Building. Here is a picture of Kailey from the observation level.

a new idea
I am working on a new web page that will most likely exist in parallel to my Flickr page. While still in its infancy, I have a few dozen pictures uploaded and will continue to add from my archives. This new site has a few advantages to Flickr. Please, I invite any feedback you may have. Thanks. Michael (mi.barrett@yahoo.com)

Hi
Hi everyone. We have had a nice weekend here in Katy. I was off work on Friday (9/80's!). Shelli spent the afternoon out of the house, so Kailey and I got to spend some time together. We started in the backyard, but ended up at a park in Katy. The ducks were no match for Kailey. She "ordered" each one of them into the water, which they did. While we didn't bring Bailey with us, we stopped at the dog park on our way back home. Kailey really likes to see dogs. She enjoyed that, but there was a lot of drama when we left...she was not ready to go. The rest of the weekend involved visits to a few friends houses and errands here and there.
Kailey is almost 21 months old. While eating this afternoon at a local place, Shelli asked Kailey if she wanted some more food. Without hesitation, "rice!" came out of Kailey's mouth. Neither of us knew that she had added this word to her vocabulary. Ever since Christmas, Kailey has become a big fan of her various baby dolls. She feeds them, covers them, and carries them around. While cleaning out a closet this weekend, I pulled out a lot of Kailey's newborn stuff. She took the bumbo (formed foam stool to feed a baby from), took it to her little table, placed a babydoll in it, and began to feed her baby. Also, when we went outside after lunch, she took her baby doll, placed it in her wagon, and pulled her around the back patio.
Here is a picture from last weekend of Kailey and I in the backyard by the pool.
